| Course Title: | ITEDU 635 - Implementing Technology Education (3 hours) |
| Prerequisite: | Graduate Status |
| Description: | A laboratory-based experience that emphasizes strategies for implementing technology education. |
| Rationale: | The strength of technology-based coursework is the dynamic content, introduced in an interesting and meaningful way through classroom and laboratory activities. This class will focus on the planning, development, and implementation of individual and group activities that support the TFAA content standards. Course experiences will address ways to implement technology-based programs at all levels (i.e., K-12). |
| The course is organized according to the areas of knowledge and action outlined in the national content standards for Technology Education. Emphasis is placed upon the design and implementation of laboratory experiences in areas such as design, engineering, production, transportation, and using and assessing technology. | |

| Evaluation: | Final scores will reflect efforts on various assignments following these percentages: |
30% - Technology-based activity development |
|
The semester grade will
be determined by dividing the total points earned by the total points possible.
A letter grade will be assigned for the following:
92.5 - 100% A |
|
| Course Evaluation: | Students are encouraged to evaluate this course at the end of the term by completing an standardized evaluation. Feedback from the evaluation forms will be used to enhance the effectiveness of the instructor, content, and activities. |
